Mid Winter Retreat
Whangapoua, Coromandel
✨ Returning to Wholeness – Mid Winter Retreat
Mid winter is a natural time to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with what truly matters. As the external world quietens, this retreat offers you the space to do the same, to rest, reset, and return to yourself.
Held over 2.5 days in an intimate and supportive environment, this retreat is designed to gently guide you back into balance. Through a combination of guided practices, nourishing food, and time to simply be, you’ll be supported to release what feels heavy and reconnect with a deeper sense of clarity and calm.
This is not about pushing or striving. It’s about creating space, space to breathe, to reflect, and to remember who you are beneath the noise of everyday life.
Throughout the retreat, you’ll be held in a small group container where connection, presence, and authenticity are at the center. Each element has been thoughtfully curated to support your nervous system, your body, and your overall wellbeing.

Returning to Wholeness with Frank Arjava Petter
Meditation Retreat Mana
The Samadhi Sessions
A 3-day meditation retreat with Frank Arjava Petter
This is a rare opportunity to spend three immersive days learning directly from one of the world’s most respected meditation and Reiki teachers.
Held at Mana Retreat Centre, this retreat is an invitation to step out of the noise of everyday life and into a space of presence, awareness, and reconnection.
Frank Arjava Petter brings decades of experience, drawing from both Eastern and Western traditions to guide participants into meditation in a way that is grounded, accessible, and deeply personal.
There are many meditation techniques, and part of this journey is discovering which one truly resonates with you.
Because meditation is not something to force. Which technique you practice is not important. What matters is that it feels right for you.
There are many meditation retreats, but very few opportunities to explore meditation under the guidance of a teacher with this level of depth, lineage, and global experience.
Arjava has spent decades teaching internationally, working with thousands of students across Europe, Asia, and beyond, and has played a significant role in preserving and sharing the authentic roots of Reiki and meditation.
Rather than following a single method, this retreat offers a direct experience of multiple meditation approaches, allowing each participant to explore, feel, and discover what works for them.
This is what makes the practice sustainable. Not discipline alone, but connection.
About this Retreat
This retreat is designed to help you discover a meditation practice that feels natural, supportive, and deeply nourishing.
You will be guided through a range of techniques drawn from different traditions, including breath awareness and grounding practices, Vipassana (insight meditation), Zazen (Zen sitting meditation), Taoist inner practices, techniques from the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, self-enquiry (Ramana Maharshi method), Osho active meditations, and body awareness practices.
Each session is experiential, allowing you to move beyond theory and into direct understanding.
Across the three days, you will explore different layers of awareness.
Day One focuses on the body, arriving into the body and developing awareness of inner sensation, releasing tension and establishing a grounded presence.
Day Two focuses on the breath and energy body, exploring breath as a bridge between body and mind, developing calm, clarity, and an embodied sense of awareness.
Day Three focuses on the mind and inner awareness, exploring the nature of thought and deeper consciousness, and moving beyond habitual thinking into stillness.
This retreat is open to anyone who feels called.
Whether you are new to meditation or have an existing practice, this space is designed to meet you where you are.

Guided Meditation and Marae Visit
Harataunga, Kennedys Bay
As part of this retreat, you will be welcomed onto the marae through a traditional pōwhiri, an experience that gently guides you into connection with the land, the people, and those who have come before.
You will be held within the space as the stories of the marae are shared, including the whakapapa of the tūpuna represented within the whare, and the meaning behind the carvings that stand as guardians of the space. This is an opportunity to listen, to receive, and to deepen your understanding of the whenua you are on.
From here, you will be guided into the ngahere (native bush) for a traditional, whenua-led meditation facilitated by the kai kōrero.
This is not a meditation in the modern sense, but a returning a quiet reconnection to the natural world, to breath, and to presence. Within the ngahere, you are invited to slow down, to listen, and to attune to the living environment around you.
Held within the wisdom of te ao Māori, this experience offers a gentle yet powerful space to reconnect not only with the land, but with something deeper within yourself.
Dates 13th or 14th November 2026 (please note Tangihanga takes priority, so there may be last minute cancellations, However we have a second option to proceed in Whangapoua without the Marae visit, if this unfortunate event occurs..) Please only book if you are willing to go ahead with the second option too.
